FDM Benefits

3D print parts using strong, industrial quality materials.

From cost-effective prototyping to functional testing, our team will leverage additive manufacturing to print your part fast.

By controlling material selection, density, and infill, we can lightweight your parts, making your 3D print even more affordable.

Your 3D printed design will be easily repeatable, allowing you to optimize your product, for prototype or production.

ABS-M30 is characterized by its strength and toughness, allowing you to build lightweight and resilient 3D printed parts. ABS is suitable for most general-purpose FDM projects.

PC has a high strength and impact resistance and, coupled with dimensional stability and heat resistance, it is a good choice for 3D printed parts that demand higher material properties than ABS or ASA.

ULTEM 1010 has a high tensile strength, broad chemical resistance, and excellent thermal stability.

ASA allows you to build consistently high-quality parts, with exceptional UV stability and the best aesthetics of any FDM thermoplastic.

PC-ABS is a blend of PC and ABS thermoplastics, resulting in a material that exhibits high toughness, heat resistance, and good flexural strength. Choose PC-ABS when you need the strength of PC, but the resistance of ABS.

ULTEM 9085 features a high strength-to-weight ratio, high thermal and chemical resistance, and meets standards for flame, smoke, and toxicity characteristics.

How It Works

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) operates using X, Y, and Z axes, drawing your 3D model one layer at a time. An easy way to picture this is how a hot glue gun extrudes melted beads of hardened glue.

With FDM, the thermoplastic modeling material is heated to a semi-liquid state. The extrusion head guides the material with precision in ultra-thin layers onto a fixtureless base.

The final result of the solidified material is a plastic 3D model, built one layer at a time. Once your part finishes, any support columns are removed and the surface is finished, giving you a durable 3D model.
